He has 15 years of experience in large mining, covering specific areas of Mine Operations, Technical Management (blasting, geotechnical and geology), and Commercial Management. In his professional career, he has excelled in mining companies such as Escondida and Collahuasi. Since 2017, he has been a member of the board of the Asociación de Ingenieros de Explosivos de Chile (ASIEX).

Civil Mining Engineer, with an Executive Diploma in Operations Management from the Universidad Católica de Chile. He has 15 years of experience specifically in Operation and Geotechnical Engineering for both, open pit and subway mining. In his professional career, he has worked as a Research Engineer for IM2, Geotechnical Engineer in consulting companies, Geotechnical Engineer in Minera Cerro Colorado and Geomechanical Innovation Engineer for División El Teniente. He is currently a member of the Sociedad Chilena de Mecánica de Rocas (SCMR) and the Instituto Chileno de Ingenieros en Minas.

Metallurgical Engineer from Universidad Católica del Norte, Diploma in Management Control, Operations Management and Supply Chain from Universidad de Chile, Diploma in Management Development and Master in Administration from Universidad Andrés Bello, with 20 years of work experience in positions related to administration, productive operations and commercial management in senior-executive positions for service companies for the large mining industry in Chile. Much of his professional career has been developed in the management of operational geology services in major mining groups in the country, such as BHP, Anglo American and Codelco.

M. Angeles Aguilar

She has 15 years of work experience, especially in the mining commercial area. Geographer with a minor in Architecture, and holds a degree with distinction from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She has a Diploma in mining design and another in advanced mining hydrogeology, both from the Cámara de Minería del Perú. He also has a Diploma in Mining Project and Infrastructure Evaluation from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. Her major achievements have been highlighted through the leadership of negotiations related to Chilean projects and foreign investments, where she highlights her commercial impetus respecting local development and the environment. She currently belongs to the international group Women in Mining Chile.

Sofía Ibarra

Sofía Ibarra

Professional with more than 14 years of experience in the area of production, management and implementation of ISO Standards, including the mining area. Aquaculture Engineer by profession from the Universidad Católica del Norte, she has a Diploma in Risk Prevention, environment and occupational health from the Universidad Andrés Bello; a Diploma in the executive program of Implementation and Lead Auditor in Management System (trinorma – three norms system) ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001:2018 and Lean Six Sigma White Belt mention of excellence in organizations, dictated by SGS ACADEMY.
She is internal auditor of NCH 3262 on Gender Equality, reconciliation of work, family and personal life in AENOR, as well as Equality Agent dictated by the Servicio Nacional de la Mujer y la Equidad de Género. She also has several HACCP and PAC courses related to the food area.
Her main achievements are her leadership in the implementation, monitoring, maintenance and certification of Management Systems in several organizations in the food and mining areas.

Amaia Navarro

Innovation Engineer
Amaia Navarro

Degree in Chemistry and Biology from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile and Mining Engineer from the Universidad Tecnológica de Chile  INACAP. She has 3 years of experience in the development of innovation projects that cover and optimize processes related to the mining industry. Additionally, he won the first place in the Alpha Mining national metallurgical and mining innovation contest, with the creation of a water desalination membrane based on graphene synthesized from alkaline batteries. He holds a diploma in valuation and management of intellectual property assets for the creative industries from the Universidad de Concepción, and in project management from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Civil Mining Engineer with more than 40 years of experience in the open pit exploitation of mining deposits, with an outstanding performance in the planning, operation and geotechnical processes, working at sites such as Minera Escondida, Minera Alumbrera, Minera Dayton, División Chuquicamata, among others. Within his career he has participated in a wide variety of publications related to rock mechanics and slope stability, among which stands out the Large Open Pit Study directed by the CSIRO Division of Australia.

Carlos Troncoso

Mining Engineer, specialist in Drilling and Blasting. To date he has 18 years of work experience and currently serves as Project Manager.
He is an expert in risk prevention in the extractive mining industry, with Sernageomin Class B Certification. He has participated in the execution, development and analysis of several projects of evaluation, optimization and integral improvement of the entire drilling and blasting mining process, with emphasis on vibration damage control, full control and environmental monitoring. He has worked in several countries such as Spain, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, among others, also actively participating in innovation and technology projects developed by GeoBlast and its associated companies, and has been present in several mining congresses, such as ISEE, ASIEX, Universities in Chile and Peru, giving technical lectures related to his specialization.
Additionally, he has served as Professor in subjects such as “Explosives” and “Blasting”, taught by the Mining Engineering career of the Technological University of Chile and as a professor guide in the Capstone Projects of the Mining Engineering career of the Universidad Católica del Norte.

He has 21 years of experience in Contract Management, Supply Chain and Operations in productive and service mining companies. In his professional career, he has worked leading mining contracts in BHP, Codelco and AMSA, leader in the implementation of logistics and operational processes and development and implementation of systemic solutions in retail, transportation and services companies.
